A Googolplexian of Links

I've seen the first page of the Internet, and I've seen the last page of the Internet. I've seen it all. There are a lot of weeks that I'll never, ever, get back. And there are a lot of images that I'll never, ever, be able to unsee. But when someone asks, “Have you been there and seen that?,” I can say unequivocally, yes.

Once you've seen every page on the Internet, (yes, the good, the bad, the ugly, the baby videos, & the cat videos), a couple of times, you have just two choices: go outside, get some fresh air, make friends, or, weed them down to a manageable number of useful, and entertaining, and wierd, and fun, and so bad they're good pages. It may sound like a lot of work, but for people like me, it's a whole lot easier then making new friends.

Tools Of The Trade

For most people fun begins when work stops. For a chosen few fun & work sometimes overlap. And for a elect few fun & work are one & the same. Papa Dave say, “Blessed is the man whose employer builds his man-cave & pays for his toys.”

Safety On The World Wide Web

It's A Mosnomer

And An Oxymoron

The only way to keep your computer safe from virus, malware, & spyware, attacks is to unplug the power & modem cables from the wall. Plug it in & you’re going to get hurt. Simple as that.

Being careful is not enough. The average survival time for an unprotected computer is only 9 minutes.

There's a modest cost, it requres a few basic skills, (or friend with said skills), but weighed against the consequences it's kind of a no-brainer.

  • HOUSE RULES

  • Technology is a privilege, not a right.

  • All technology must be parent approved.

  • We value people more than technology.

  • Devices don't come to the dinner table.

  • There is no tech behind closed doors.

  • Chore and homework come before Facebook and Twitter

  • Turn it off is not a negotiation.

  • We break it—we help to replace it.

  • We use technology appropriately, or we lose it.

Papa Dave’s Web Sites

Anykey.net was not the first, but it was probably the beginning. Bower-House.com came shortly after, or before. I’m not sure. The latest would be Papa-Dave.net, Papa-Dave.net/links/, and Anykey.net.

”Tires To You“ & ”All About Eggs“ are for friends. And “Buttons For The Cure“ & ”Jpegs With Julia“ are for my first little princess.

“ROCIT” is just for fun and probably will never go live.

There’s lot‘s more but they are either lost, offline, or forgotten and certainly not fodder for a “current” list of my web sites.
